HIGH CHEMICAL AND FUNGAL RESISTANT, FLAME RETARDANT SEALING KIT

    • Tested by IBMB - Institut fur Baustoffe Massivbau und Brandschutz.
    • High chemical resistance.

    • Adherence > 10 kg/cm².
    • Adheres perfectly to many surfaces, such as metal, ceramics, tiles, stainless steel, glass, wood,... without a primer.

    SEAL & BOND SIL 25 is a flame retardant single component silicone sealant, which hardens by humidity, with a fire resistance class of F90 according to DIN 4102-2:1977-09, tested by IBMB - Institut fur Baustoffe, Massivbau und Brandschutz.
    SEAL & BOND SIL 25 has a neutral hardening procedure and is practically

    odourless.
    SEAL & BOND SIL 25 can be used to seal expansion joints, seams, cracks and passages,... in a constructional and flexible way.
    SEAL & BOND SIL 25 is fungus, UV and weather resistant.

    Application information: 
    • versatile joining, bonding and sealing mass with fire-retardant features
    • because of its high chemical resistance, it can also be exposed on a permanent basis to water and humidity like e.g. swimming pools, Jacuzzi, shower and bathroom applications, air conditioning systems, kitchen building,...

    Density: ca 1.4 kg/dm³.
    Shore A hardness: ca 19 till 25.
    Coexistence: thixothrope - firm in joints up to 40 mm width.
    Skin formation at 23°C and 50 % R.H.: 8 minutes.
    Hardening at 23°C and 50% R.H. 2.5 mm after 24 h - 4 mm after 48 h.
    Modulus 100% elongation: 0.3 to 0.4 N/cm².
    Adherence: > 10kg/cm².
    Temperature resistance: -40°C to +150°C.
    Colour: grey and white.
    Chemical resistance: resistant to water, seawater, weak solvents, oils, fats,likewise to

    ethyl alcohol, isopropanol, chlorine, acetone, hydraulic oil, formic acid 10%, hydrochloric acid 10%, sulphuric acid 25%, phosphoric acid 5%, ammonia 25%, saturated sodium chloride, caustic soda 15%, potassium hydroxide 15%, saturated sodium chloride, ammonium sulphate 50%; not resistant to concentrated acids.
    Painting: can not be painted.
    Shelf life: 12 months, keep dry, cool and frost-proof.
