Edge-Guard

HEAT SHRINKING EDGING STRIP WITH MELTING GLUE
    • Ideal edging material for metal, wood, glass and certain plastics.
    • Dual wall: extruded strip with pre-coated heat-sensitive adhesive.
    • By heating, the profile of EDGE-GUARD changes from "V" to "U"-form, to accomodate the substrate profile.
    • When cool, EDGE-GUARD is permanently bonded.
    • The pre-coated strip permits a clean and rapid installation.

    General info: 

    EDGE-GUARD is the ideal edging material for metal, wood, glass and certain plastics. The extruded strip is pre-coated internally with a heat-sensitive adhesive, and can be applied easily to external or internal radii as well as straight edges. When cool, EDGE-GUARD is bonded permanently to the edge to be protected.
    The pre-coated strip permits a clean and rapid installation.

    Application information: 
    • covering potentially dangerous sharp edges, as found on bulkhead cut-outs, instrumentation enclosures, panels, etc.

    N°5 to a max width of 0,5mm
    N°11 to a max width of 1,1mm
    N°21 to a max width of 2,1mm
    N°50 to a max width of 5mm

    Technical information: 

    Colour: black.
    Minimum recovery temperature: 120°C.
    Continuous operating temperature: -55°C - +135°C.
    The adhesive flows at +80°C.
    Installation temperature: 150°C to 200°C.
    Shelf life: 12 months, keep dry, cool and frost-proof.
